Accessing WebView to change TCP\IP Configuration

WebView provides users with real-time configuration capabilities from a web browser when using a ZebraNet Print Server.  For Zebra Printers with Firmware lower that x.10.x, you can use WebView to access the Print Server configuration but not the Printer's configuration.

Please note:  If your Znet Print server's IP address is not within your subnet, and the print server is physically on your subnet, you will have to add the IP address to your workstation's network routing table.  The ZebraNet Print Server will default to 192.168.254.254 after 2 minutes if you do not set an IP Address or is does not receive one from a DHCP Server.  If you don't know your Znet2 Print server's IP Address, see How do I determine my Znet II IP Address.  (If your not sure how to determine if the address is on your subnet, click here.)

Example:

Go to a command prompt (in Windows go to a DOS prompt).

Type:  "route add **** xxxx" Press enter

"****" is the Znet2 PS's IP address  "xxxx" is your workstation's IP address

The ZebraNet Print Server has a built in Web Server.  Entering the IP address of a ZebraNet Print Server into a web browser can access the Znet2's homepage.

As you can see there is a menu of hyperlinks.

From here there are many setting you can configure including your TCP\IP settings.

To change TCP/IP settings click on "Print Server Settings.  You should see the following page:

Click on "Print Server".  A login prompt should pop up, username is "admin" and password is"1234":

Hit OK.  Which should take you to the Print Server Configuration Page:

Next click on "TCP/IP Configuration".

From this page you can make any necessary changes.  When you are done click on "Submit" button at the bottom.

You will see a link "unit must be reset for new values to take effect", click.

This will take you to a second prompt asking you if you want to "reset" the print server.

You must select "Yes" to reboot the Print Server to save your changes.  Which will give you the last page.
