ZebraNet Print Server Username and Password

What is the default user name and password for the print server and how they can be changed

Details

To directly access the Zebra Print Server you will be prompted for a username and password.  The default password is 1234.

FTP:  

username:         A username is not required. Just hit enter.
password:          No password prompt.  

TELNET:

username:            You will not be prompted for a user name.  Just a password.                          

password:            1234 (default)

Webview Home Page:

user name:            admin
password:            1234 (default) 

Changing  Password:

For ZPL printers with firmware x.10 or higher.

Even though ZebraNet View, WebView and Telnet all have options for changing the password, the only way to change the password on the ZebraNet Print Server is with the ZPL command ^KP or WebView.  The ^KP command is limited to a 4 digit numeric sequence, as this will also change the password on a printer with a LCD display.

From WebView, go to Print Server Settings, Web Admin.  Change password.  It must be 4 digit number.  Then go back to View and Modify Printer Settings and Save Current Configuration.

    To disable the password:

    Send printer the following ZPL:  ^XA^KP0000^JUS^XZ.

For ZPL printers with firmware x.9 and lower or EPL printers, ZebraNet View, WebView, and Telnet will work. The password can not be disabled.

Changing Username:

The Username used to log into WebView can be changed from the Web Admin link under Print Server Configuration.
