Testing functionality using FTP.
You can test the functionality of the printer and the print server by sending ZPL directly to the printers
built in ftp server.
- Assign the print server an IP address
- Verify connectivity to the address by issuing a ping
a test ZPL script. Something as simple as ~wc will work fine. Take
note of the director that you saved this file in.
to a command prompt and change to the directory that the ZPL resides in.
ftp x.x.x.x * ( x.x.x.x represent that IP
address of the printserver)
will be prompted for a user name.
user name is not needed. Hit the enter key.
put file.ext *(file.ext represents the ZPL filename with the
extension). The name and extension you assign to the file is irrelevant.
