The ribbon should be loaded as shown in Figure 1 and 2. Note the ribbon unwinds at the ribbon supply spindle in a clockwise direction and is routed over the Snap Plate. Make sure the outer release cap of the ribbon take-up spindle is locked in the proper position before winding. Failure to have the fins in the fully extended position can cause difficulty in removing spent ribbon.
