Title: Creating an AUTOFORM for Mobile printers

Discussions:

Have available to our customers an example of how to create an autoform that will execute on power up and be awaiting variable input.

Goals:

Supply an example RUN.BAT file that will demonstrate the functionality of an autoform on a Mobile printer

Facts or Affected Items:

QL420, QL320, QL220, Encore Series,  Cameo Series,   Scanner

Details

The mobile printers have an option to execute  a file upon bootup that will be waiting for data within a CPCL format.    An example CPCL format is below.

! DF RUN.BAT

! 0 200  200 320 1

CENTER

TEXT 4 0 200 100  \\                              The "\\" would tell the printer to expect to receive data

RE-RUN                                                  This command would tell the printer to re-run this format over and over again

FORM

PRINT

NOTE:  The only way to stop this file from running is to do a 2-key on the printer.  So, when you are developing this file it is suggested that you DO NOT put the "RE-RUN" COMMAND in the file when you send the file to the printer!!!

! 0 200 200 320 1
CENTER
TEXT 4 0 200 100 \\
FORM
PRINT

The input must be followed with a CR/LF (OD, OA)

NOTE:  The "RE-RUN" CPCL COMMAND SHOULD NEVER BE USED IN THE AUTOEXEC.BAT OR THE CONFIG.SYS FILES!!!!!
