Auto Sensing Eltron Printers.

Note :  Used to produce configuration labels and set the "Dump" mode


Models: LP-2022/42, LP-2122/42, LP/TLP-2242, 2642, 2622 and 3642

  1. Turn off printer and have media loaded.
  2. Hold feed button down, and turn printer back on while holding down the feed button.
  3. When a label starts to advance out the front, release the feed button.
  4. After printer stops advancing and prints the internal information, press the feed button one time.
  5. You will get another label with the "Out of Dump" message on it.

Printer is now ready for use.

 

Models: TLP-2046, 2044 and LP/TLP Eclipse (2344)

  1. Turn on printer and have media loaded.
  2. Hold the CANCEL and PAUSE buttons in at the same time.
  3. Release the CANCEL button first.
  4. Hold PAUSE until a label starts to advance, then release PAUSE.
  5. After printer stops advancing and prints the internal information, press the feed button one time.
  6. You will get another label with the "Out of Dump" message on it.

Printer is now ready for use.

 

Models: Orion (2442, 2443 and 2543), Transport (P-2242), Xport (P-2222), LP/TLP Strata (2684), LP/TLP-2722, 2742, 3742, LP/TLP-2824, 2844 and TLP3842.

  1. Turn off printer and have media loaded (on older Transports, with no ON/OFF switch, remove battery).
  2. Hold feed button down, and turn printer back on (on older Transports, re-insert battery) while holding down the feed button.
  3. As soon as the light starts flashing, release the feed button.
  4. Printer light will turn green and advance a few blanks.
  5. After printer stops advancing and prints the internal information, press the feed button one time.
  6. You will get another label with the "Out of Dump" message on it.

Printer is now ready for use.

 

Models: All Companions

  1. Unplug the power supply from printer, and have media loaded.
  2. Hold the feed button down and plug the power back in, while holding down the feed button.
  3. Hold feed button down until the printer starts to print the internal information.
  4. When the printer stops printing the internal information label, press the feed button one time.
  5. You will get another label with the "Out of Dump" message on it.

Printer is now ready for use.

 

Models: Tigerwriter 2 and 4 inch, Aura 2P and 4P

  1. Turn off printer and have media loaded.
  2. Hold feed button down, and turn printer back on while holding down the feed button.
  3. When a label starts to advance out the front, release the feed button.
  4. The printer will advance a few blanks and then print a test pattern.
  5. After the test pattern prints, the printer will stop at the tear position.

TR220 AutoSense, Calibration and Dump

Note, the Autosense and Calibration procedure can be performed with or without the Symbol Scanner installed.  If your performing a communications test, have the Symbol Scanner installed.

The procedure will run a label length calibration, print a configuration label and enter the dump mode of the printer.

  1. Load your media in the printer.
  2. Hold in the Yellow Trigger on the TR220 handle.
  3. Press and hold the Feed Key on top of the printer.  When the Green LED starts flashing release the Feed Key.
  4. Wait for the labels to start feeding and release the Yellow Trigger.
  5. If the printer is set to non-continuous media, the printer will feed several labels to determine the label length.  If the printer configured for continuous (receipt type) labels, it will not run the label length calibration.  The printer should print out a configuration label and print "now in Dump".
    1. If your not troubleshooting communications continue with step 6.
    2. If you need to test communications, print from your Symbol Palm Device.  The printer should print out the EPL code your sending to the printer.
  6. To exit the Dump Mode, press the Feed Key once, "out of Dump" should print on the label.

Your printer is now ready for use.
